I had initial problems communicating the issue or even getting the issue resolved with first level support. Once my problem was escalated to second level Mike was EXTREMELY helpful. If all support technicians were like him it would be great. Overall HostDepartment rates high in my book.

I am new at a lot of this stuff...just getting out of college and not being all that familiar with executing some things on my own that I have been taught so I find that the tech staff has been really helpful. I have just enough info to make me dangerous and that is where the tech staff comes in. They have been great at explaining things so that I can understand. They also help me familiarize myself with where their service meets my education. They have been great. I would recommend this service to anyone that is looking for a new host. They have been extremely helpful. A special thank you to Peter who helped me with my SQL database connection.

The online help is VERY slow. I had to wait for a LONG time to get someone. When I finally got Peter, we had a little communication problem, but it ended up fine. Our site is FINALLY up and running. Thanks much.

I have had good luck with the tech guys. I am new to this, and sometimes I think they assume that I understand more than I do. Once I am able to relate to them that I need the "for dummies" version they are able to answer my questions.

I do think sometimes what takes an hour on chat could be resolved in 5 minutes or less on the phone though.

I *have* referred you guys to others BTW.

The online tech support was very helpful. I have several sites with another host and will likely move those domains to this service. Isaac helped me solved my problem with a Perl script and now I am on my way. The other host wouldn't have bothered to spend any time trying to help me.

On a number of occassions i have had to contact your technical services and I have always found them to be very helpful. On most of the occassions that I have been intouch with the tech service I have spoken to some one called peter and found him to be very helpful and extremely paitent with me. Even when it must have been so frustrating for him to deal with me he has always come across as a very helpful and understanding person, although I would not blame him for cursing me, at any given time, he has always been extremely helpful even in my blondest of moments. He is a credit to your service. And a very pleasant person to deal with.

quite frankly i am astonished that this provider is so good. the multihosting, asp support, unlimited subdomains etc are those you would expect of a very expensive service. the price is so low i expected poor technical support, but this turns out to be the best feature, with fast response from "live chat" support.

just hope it stays that way. i am completely sold. my previous provider was dam good, but this seems far superior.

Little Rough at first with setting up what I needed, Part my falt part the company, However everything Was fixed in time with very helpfull people. Host Department is 200% better than my old hosting company Featureprice. Keep being very helpfull and the live chat is the best ever.

The Help function needs to be expanded, more troubleshooting that you might come across as well as FAQ's. The Flash tutorials are good but lite on information.

I find your new control system to be excellent. However, I am concerned by outages. We were offline for almost 24 hours on December 18, 2002. And now today, January 23, 2003, the same thing happened (although for only a brief time). In neither instance was this communicated in advance and since we run a home-based business it is critical that we have reliable and available service. However, your online help staff is excellent and conscientious, and in both instances have assisted us in resolving the difficulties. Despite the outages I'm still quite happy with HostDepartment.

your hosting company is AWESOME!! i LOVE it... i've NEVER EVER seen such value! i get SO MUCH for SO LITTLE!! i only ever had the run in with that one company who stole my website (but then again, they stole everyone's website too... so it wasn't hostdepartment's fault)

The shell access ON button is NOT a toggle button - it disconnects an already enabled access.

Your live tech support is superb.

I already recommended one of your current clients. I will not hesitate to keep doing so in the future.

Please keep adding features and documents, especially in regards of access to already advertised services (the bulletin board system, for example).

I'm just mad cuase my site was down for about 48 hour, but it works now.
and many of your technical stuff can't do any thing until J.Erlando come and solve me the problem

The control Panel are so good, but it some times make some trouble in adding or removing domains
( all the domina work in the control panel have bugs )

at all, this service are not bad compared with the cost, specially the Online Chat helps us so good and solve many many problem and it is really better than mail.

I have found Host Department to be an excellent host for our website and those of our clients. Their values are unbeatable - so much that my website design company has been able to GIVE AWAY hosting as gifts to our clients. Their control panel is packed with features, yet extremely simple to navigate and understnad. When I have had a question, their staff has been quickly accessible and very helpful. I would give Host Department the highest rating possible. Not only do we sign our clients up with them, but I have also recommended them to friends and family who are looking for inexpensive and reliable hosting.

I have found their online "live" tech support to be FANTASTIC. I have had two minor problems and the live tech support fixed them within minutes (even at 2AM one time). I cannot get over the service, the price, and the control panel. This web based admin interface WORKS. I have already recommended 4 of my clients to sign up as well.
