Hello There! Just few months ago, we improved our affiliate program by perfecting the commission payout scheme. Do you still remember what that is? If it is almost out of our memory, the best thing to do now is to refresh the idea once again.

Recapping – our earlier Affiliate Program allowed commission payout after the new customers from the sales made by our affiliates confirmed to us that they did buy through the affiliates’ websites. However, we found that it is too hassling for our affiliates who’ve spent their time and provided some space for us in their websites to promote our products and services.

That is why we tweaked the scheme much better. No more confirmation needed from the new customers for affiliates to receive their commissions. Right after 45 days of the sales date, affiliates’ commissions of 25% from total web hosting sales are directly cashed out (minimumly $10) to affiliate PayPal account.

What More Have We Improved Recently to Move a Step Further?
Continuing from what we did to improve our Affiliate Program, we have now used the latest version of our Affiliate tracking tool, to ensure that everything runs perfect for our affiliates. Yes, we happily announce that we have upgraded our Affiliate tracking tool (IdevAffiliate) into version 6, with better features and reliability.

With version 6, affiliates can have better marketing features and more accurate statistics about commission and traffic statistics generated from the affiliates’ websites. The marketing features are also complete and help the affiliates to be able to generate sales better, meaning that to get them more commissions from the sales.

The marketing features include the various attractive banners with various designs and sizes that affiliates can use and place in their websites to attract more potential buyers to purchase Host Department products from their websites. The step is really easy as they just need to copy and paste the banners’ html codes in their websites.

There are also text ads that contain influencing words about Host Department quality products. Using these text ads, affiliates will be able to advertise our products with the right and suitable marketing words. However, do you really think it is now still easy to get through your subscribers’ emails when there have been spam filters to protect their inboxes from spam emails? Telling you the truth, it is not. Email spam filters are able to consider your emails as spams just by concluding from the words you use in your email marketing campaigns.

Be sure to prioritize on keeping your newsletters the most professional they can be! Spam filters analyze emails by the words used. So this means, you need to avoid using words that are very heavy spam trigger keywords.

Make a Good Formatting
You must keep your email formatting simple and professional. For example, don’t use too many different colors, fonts, sizes, or images as this will result to spam filtering. So, it is better to have your email clean. Just use 2 or 3 different fonts and sizes and that will be enough.

Use Consistent Newsletter Template

In creating your newsletters, you better have a template if you send newsletters routinely, like let’s say once a month, which is an acceptable frequency to send newsletters. By using template, it will ensure that your newsletters have its own style as they have the same look and feel. If your email newsletters have the same style, it will help you to avoid spam filter system. Additionally, it will provide you with professionalism and good branding to your newsletters.

Provide Unsubscribe and Contact Information
Remember to provide a way for the readers unsubscribe in the newsletters you send as if you don’t,  it is considered illegal in some countries, which is also an instant sign of spam. You must include any contact information, either phone, fax, or address, to show the confidence  of your email and company too. This contact information is useful in case there is any potential customer who’d like to contact you.

Do Mailing Test before You Send

The last step to ensure that your emails do not enter spam filters is by testing it first before you finally send them. For example, you can try to send the newsletters first to some email accounts  of yours with spam filters. If the newsletters do not go to inbox and are sent to junk folder, that means your email newsletters still have things to fix first before you can send them to your subscribers and you have to solve it.

So, starting from now on, you can ensure that your email marketing campaigns work perfectly without having to be restricted by the spam filtering system.

In the first month of this fresh new year of 2009, I am here again to report the uptime record for January 2009. Before I go with the details, you can have a look at the table below. They represent the average uptime and critical time during January 2009 in all of our servers for FTP, HTTP, MySQL, SMTP, and POP services.

FTP Service
FTP, important issue! It is needed when you want to upload your files into your websites. So, I clearly understand that you will find it annoying to find your FTP unaccessible. Anyway, our January’s FTP service uptime record showed that we reached 99.991% “okay” time and only 0.009% critical time reported. We gladly report that we met what you’ve expected.

HTTP Service
We also realize HTTP service is also significant for your website. We understand how inconvenient for you if your website is unaccessible by your visitors, especially when your site is critical and very important for your business.

For HTTP service in January, we reached 98.996% uptime and 1.004% critical time reported. We are really sorry that we didn’t meet 99.99% uptime guarantee for HTTP in January. It was caused from our scheduled maintenance to improve the performance of our servers for your further satisfaction.

MySQL Service
MySQL service is very important for dynamic website with MySQL database. As database records your customers’ registration data, e-commerce data, or archived materials; it is crucial to have the service available.

In January 2009, our MySQL service was 99.989% up and 0.011% critical time only. It means we actually have a rounded 99.99% uptime for MySQL service and we are glad that we met your expectations.

SMTP and POP Service

E-mails service is very important as with e-mails, you contact and get contacted by people. In delivering e-mail services, we report two records, SMTP and POP services. For SMTP service, we delivered 99.990% uptime and 0.010%. We are happy that we didn’t disappoint you in delivering the service.

And for POP service, we performed 99.979% uptime and there was 0.021% critical time in January for POP service. It showed that our okay time for POP was around 99.98% last month and we regret that we performed 0.02% critical time rather than just equal to or less than 0.01% critical time as there was regular maintenance to provide better performance in the future.
