My name is Nik Manning I was having complex problems like adding subdirectories mapping databases to subdirectories adding cfmx dsns redirecting websites and adding indexes all at one time. This guy named Sonny handled it like a pro. Very fluid with his responses very knowledgable about the product. He is proof that your company does care about the customer and I will stick with a hosting service that cares about me. p.s. Sonny should be a trainer for all your new hires. REALLY

This is my first experience with websites & hosting. So i guess you could say I am a greenhorn newbie. But they have excellent live chat support and have always been able to fix things & help me when needed..and I have needed, believe me. I have only had this for a little over a week and so far i am happy with it. I would recommend this site to my friends & associates. The only reason I find it a bit confusing is my inexperience with working with websites & web hosting. but so far it seems to be fairly easy to negotiate it. If I am unsure I look it up in there resourses and if i dont understand it I contact their "livechat". They are always very helpful and friendly. :)

Yudi was extremely helpful in getting my domains back up online after I made a critical error. If I could always go to Yudi for help I would. I'd recommend giving Yudi a raise!!! Thank you Yudi and thank you Hostdepartment.com for hiring Yudi!!!

I would like to say Thank You to all in the Host Department.
I am totally new in the world of Web pages, ftp (STILL WONDERING WHAT THAT IS), database, domains etc...
The LIVE SUPPORT is awesome! Peter and David have been the lucky ones to get me (laughs).
I love learning what all you have provided and I must tell you it is alot!
In fact, what you are offering in the smallest package is everything and more in what I have been looking for.

Host Department is the best! I am 42 and technologically impaired. I've used Live Chat in regard to 3 separate issues: a few times with sales when I was researching web hosts; another time setting up; and two other times trying to learn how to pay my bill properly. Each time, I found the Host Department support people to be kind, efficient, patient and informative. I'm recommending Host Department to everyone I know! PS:
(The only reason I haven't used the site control panel is because my web creator is taking care of that for now.)

Great service, fast setup. Ivan from sales helped me out. I even got a phone call from them confirming that everything was set up and working ok, in 8 years experience with various hosts, I've never gotten that kind of follow up. They're awesome!

david was the best. he helped me set up my program and database. i can tell when i'm talking to a real good tech support person. understanding and kind. i think that's david.

I am very green and have only basic web page building understanding so I may find some things hard that others find easy. this makes the support staff very important to me . and this is my second web company . The first had almost no support. Here I can get the help I need This is very important to a non techie likke me . I have had good luck getting questions answered. Today my problem was how to change a site builder page name to reflect page contentin the url , the suport person was great and I now understand.

I have been using HostDepartment for a couple of years, having moved my sites from APlus.net because of their very poor and abusive customer service. I have nothing but good to relay about HostDepartment. I have changed my accounts several times and they have been very willing to help. The tech assist on the live chat page is excellent. I am a complete rookie at this web building stuff and the guys I've talked to are totally cool with me. They are Isaac and Elizar. Please note that I have just come aboard so some of the stuff above has no referent in my case, for example, the E-mail address. My site, under construction, has no E-mail address at this time.

Awesome service! i highly recommend it to everyone. I used to try a different host (softhosts.com)and the previous one is nothing compared to hostdepartment...with the previous, service is slow and down often. and support was not there (they said response in 2 hours max but i had no response for weeks)...then my clients' files got deleted by the host... i never had these problems with hostdepartment.

If i were to rate them i'd give the A+ or 11 out of 10 =)

Until today, my experience setting up as a reseller has been a nightmare. No one contacted me to help. I just found out that elizar was suppose to have helped. I spent many hours going through documentation and the forms. Than Saturday the control panel was down. Today I went on live chat and got Isaac who helped very much as I am at a very confusing point. For the first time now, I feel I may succeed at this. Thank you.

The control panel is great. However, some of the awesome features you guys providing are conflicting DotNetNuke. It is a must have for any serious site-developer/ adv. users like me.

BTW, the SQL scripts you guys offering to DOTNETNUKE V2 users are not useful. There's no way it would have work properly. Many of the sql providers and webconfig default settings assuming the objects are always dbo qualified. There is an easy and best way to get it to work. But i did manage to have it fixed, by changing some of the original sql scripts in the DOTNETNUKE app itself.

Anyway, my recommendation to you is to offer dbo permssion to users who really needs it. I would have paid you to avoid spending a week to work around the dbo issue.

Other then that, i think you guys have done a great job. Hey i would put my money into your company too. Are you guys looking for investors? let me know, I'm interested.

PS: about the dbo thingy, both DiscountASP.net and webhost4life offers DBO permission to their customers. I think you should do the same. Think about it.

I never thought a hosting company would be so helpful. Even for the smallest problems, they are always online for their customers and they they answer every single question and solve the problems. I'm 100% satisfied with the hosting and I'd recommend it to anybody.

I used a half dozen different hosts over the last 24 months. They all promise a lot but only Host Dept are living up to those promises. Their a very helpful, fairly priced and service oriented bunch.

If i were a dog, i'd probably sniff and lick them.

It's all good in HOst Departments hood.

I needed a little help with the webmail and uplaoding my site.

The directions for Dreamweaver did not work as provided on the control panel.The service I received from Live chat helped right away. as a matter of fact I was able to go on and set up Homesight to upload my site as well. Then I uploaded and fixed my recipe database.

My webmail did not work. After I received help from live chat I think I see what the problem was. I had both a mailbox and an alias with the same prefex.

Next I want to consider a dedicated server as a solution.

I am pleased with the service so far. Now want to see how the billing and stats work from here.

My review is not very good, I have had many problems, tech support took so long to respond and sometimes no respond at all. And I consider I had simple question or requests, with the exeption of Peter that help me and fixed the problems in a minute. I hope you can hire many Peters.

I was a little confused on the Domain names, and how they worked, I had thought when you register you got 3, so I set up 2 and was unable to use my 2nd domain name, your help staff "peter" was very helpfull and informative, and explained that the each domain name needed to be registered, and paid for.. so he helped me with the procces... thank you

I've set up my hosting with LLC host department a couple of weeks ago and I'm really happy I did so. In the meantime I've suggested your services to some colleagues.

I think a minor lack is (unless I'm wrong) it's not possible with the hosting a asked for (on your windows server) to set up a 2nd FTP client with different userid and password.
