1. How do I update the text on our Churchs pages? All you have to do is go to the Update Page. From there you will see some choices and a text box. You just click on the name of the page you want updated, type in the text the way you want it to read and click on the SUBMIT button. You may update more than one page but you must click the SUBMIT button between each different page. TOP of PAGE 2. May just anyone change our pages? Only people that have your Churchs username and password can submit changes to us. We also will issue every Church an authorization number. Without it there will be a delay in the update until we can email the Church to be sure they submitted the changes. TOP of PAGE 3. May photos be added to our pages? One or two photos may be added to each page. You could put the Pastors picture on the Pastors Greeting page, for example. Your first page might look nice with a picture of your Church. We can even put a Church logo on every page if you like. The main idea here is to not use large pictures that slow down the loading of your pages. TOP of PAGE 4. May we have different buttons than what are shown. The buttons we have listed are just a basic set. We will be happy to change the name on a button and its corresponding page for you. TOP of PAGE 5. I notice every sample page said Welcome to CHURCH-SITEat the top. Is that required? No. You give us the picture you want at the top of each page. A picture of the Church, the Pastor, a Church funtion or a special graphic or logo can be placed at the top of each page. You can have no graphic at all if that is what you wish. TOP of PAGE 6. May we have midi music on our web pages? You must be careful with music files. If someone is trying to take a leisurely stroll though your site a song that was pretty on the first page may become annoying by the third page. Also keep in mind that midis take time to download just like pictures. The faster a page loads the better your visitors will like it. We will, however, honor requests to put background music on your page. You should supply the midi file you like to support@church-site.com TOP of PAGE 7. Does church-site.com support streaming Real Audio? Not on the Basic Template package. TOP of PAGE 8. Is there a limit to the amount of hits our page is allowed? There is no limit to the number of hits. TOP of PAGE 9. May we submit pages we have designed? While we will try to accomodate most minor layout requests, if you can design your own web pages we will request that you upgrade from the Basic Template package to the Hands On package. (see below) TOP of PAGE 10. Does church-site.com allow us hands on updating? Yes we do! To be able to edit your own pages you must sign up for the Basic Template package. Your Church will be assigned a password and whomever you give the password to will be able to upload and delete files. TOP of PAGE 11. What are the prices and different levels of service? That is a whole subject of its own. Click here and lets go check it out. TOP of PAGE 12. Are we restricted as to what type of material may be on our site? The service we are offering is for Churches only. We are hoping that by making it inexpensive and simple that there will be many more places on the web to see the Word of God. There are many places on the web that will happily host other types of sites. TOP of PAGE 13. How many different pages may we have? The limit is not on the number of pages you may have. The limit is more on what services you have with each package. The Basic Template package that most people use is just that, Basic Templates. There is only one page per button and 8 buttons in a Basic Template package. We are not offering customized web design. TOP of PAGE 14. Who do we contact if we have problems? We are never more than a click away. We monitor our email daily. In fact most of the time we monitor it constantly. (We have very understanding wives.) With the Basic Template package you will probably never need to do anything more than drop us a line. Just let us know of any problem and it will be corrected very quickly. If you feel that a problem is on our end then we will get it cleared up to the best of our ability. If it is trouble with your web authoring all we can offer is to try to answer some questions and point you to some Html Tutorial Sites. Go to the Contact Us page to send us email. TOP of PAGE 15. What is the Advertisers link about? We felt that there may be some sites on the web that offer services Churches could benefit from. We have set up this space for them to reach you. Come back and check this area often. In fact we hope it will be your first place to look when you look for Church related business sites. TOP of PAGE 16. May we link to the Advertisers page? All Churches we host may have our Advertisers link added to their page. It will take your members to the same page we use but the HOME link will return to your Churchs Home page. By doing it this way we only have one Advertisers page to edit and keep current. It also means that you can not add your own links to this page. TOP of PAGE 17. May we have a links page for our favorite websites? If you only have a couple of links it would be better to mention them on an existing page. In Pastors Greeting for example he could mention sites he likes. We can add a link or two to any page. TOP of PAGE
