The facility where Bocacom is located was originally the North American Research Center for IBM. It was here that the first IBM PC was developed. Our data center is located in one of the largest hurricane proof commercial sites in the US. It is built to withstand a direct hit from a category 5 hurricane and sits above the 100 year flood plain. Bocacoms DC is located at a central point within the site and has no windows or walls along the outside of the building. Our data center features redundant utility power feeds, MGE UPS equipment and a large 10MW backup generator farm sufficient fuel onsite to run for three weeks. Power tests are performed monthly and quarterly. NTT/Verio is one of the largest Tier 1 network providers in the world and their quality is considered second to none. The Verio connections route directly to South Floridas triple redundant fiber SO net ring. There is no local loop, no common carrier facility to go through.
