I had some problems setting up my DNS settings for my domain. Went into
the live chat support and got a solution to my problem in a manner of

I have switched hosting companies more than 10 times before finding
Hosting Department and I must say they are the best. I have 8 domains
hosted with them and never have a problem. Their tech support is the best
and I love that they have the live support feature 24/7. I DO RECOMMEND
THEM!!!

I had 2 days of fustration trying to add a new domain to my account.
On your chat line I spent 1 hour yesterday with Peter who could not solve
it. Then I wrote at least 6 or 8 e-mails and none of the responses helped
me. And today I went back on to the lve chat with Elizar, who solved my
problem. Thank you Elizar!!!! |

We just love Host Department's new look and layout! Especially the flash
tutorials! We have learned so much and have already improved our website
because of them. We are also very pleased with your live support. We have
asked them for help several times and they always come through! We sure
wish we would have tried Host Department from the beginning....it would
have saved lots of time and money! |

Ivan is the best! He is quick, listens, and comes up with clear concise
answers and directions that are easy to follow. Unlike David who I have
bucked heads with from the begining, takes too long, and goes out of his
way to jam me up, either that or he is just bolixed, but I believe he
knows who I am and gives me a hard time because we bucked heads once.
every time I get Ivan I want to stay with you, everytime I get David
I am ready to drop my account, and almost did a few months ago. And, again
the other day, imagine the difference. Dealing with Ivan, I am done in
5 minutes with all my questions, dealing with David it takes over 2 hours
and matters left unresolved!

I contacted Live Help to answer some questions about webmail access.
I was helped by someone named Elizar, who not only answered my question
but also created a webmail interface using the URL for my website. It
took him 2 minutes to do something that would have taken me the rest of
the day to figure out. While I hope to learn more everyday and not rely
on Live Help for every little problem, I think I will be using this resource
many times in the future. Their help was much appreciated. |

I am happy to make the right decision in selecting Host Department.
It was quite a task with so many hosting services out there and various
rating. The rating for Host Department is 88% from my research. There
are other with 90%. I selected Host Department due to Live Chat which
is very helpful. |

On the whole this service is simply excellent. There have been very
few problems with my site, and these are mainly down to my lack of knowledge

I had problems renewing an account. I used the online features.
Peter was a GREAT help when I asked for information about hosting and
domain name accounts. This guy knows his business and tried to do everything
to solve my problem. That's called "profesionalism"...
I also chatted with Issac and the service equally very helpful. The Customer
service is very skilled and helpful (and patient). Don't change it!!!

My last (and most) Live help chats have been very helpful. David and
Yudi get the job done.
The only negative is that sometimes there is no answer when trying to
use Live Help...
The multiple choice questions above are not accurate for rating purposes...too
specific. Example: How reliable has your hosting account been with Host
Department LLC ?
Excellent - I've never noticed any downtime or problems - site is always
fast
Good - Some minor downtime communicated in advance, but the site has
always been fast -->>Here is my answer...good service, some downtime,
but not communicated in advance!
Okay - Site occasionally runs slow or is not available
Poor - I have experienced constant problems with uptime and site speed

After working with other larger hosting companies, such as Rapidsite,
the decision to move to a smaller server was a big one. However, Host
Department has a great hosting package and the service is parallel to
that provided by other companies. |

This company was recomended to me by my Website Designers, I needed
a new hosting for my Auction Website. I asked a lot of questions concerning
chat,emails, data bases and hosting packages and David was very helpfull
and profesional in answering them. This is very important when you are

There have been a few problems with the running of the site, but those
are always sorted quickly by the support team. Support tickets are answered
the day after you send them, and live support is always on so if you're
having a crisis there is always a human being to tell who will fix it.
Excellent control panel and it does exactly what it says it does. Also
the plans include some extra more advanced things that I didn't expect
including adding your own mime types and creating new extensions for cgi
and php. Also you can create subdomains of subdomains which is something
I havn't seen before in previous hosts. Very good I'm going to stick with
this host. |

Occasionally I've experienced EMAIL downtime for a couple of the sites
I've got hosted with you (ptwithcjmills.com and wondermonkey.net) but
seems that overall it's good. I sort of wish I got a little more MBs of
space for the money, but maybe that will come?
I love the LIVE Support feature - that's helped me a lot! Ivan was quite
helpful today.

nothing out of the ordinary but helpful adn friendly all the same. When
I contacted the help dept the other day they were apparently snowed under
with a major problem, I can understand that. My request, keep the online
reliability of the sites up, the admin and technical side appear to be
easy to use so far. |

I have not been able to find a better value feature to feature in all
my research. eChat support is excellent except for one issue (probably
a new agent). Being able to open a support ticket from control panel when
eChat is not available or too busy for me to wait, is a great backup.
Response to open tickets is very timely.
The ability to directly edit the content of files on the server from
my control panel is truly awesome! I can make a needed change immediately
from anywhere, not just when I get back to my main PC source program.
The only thing I would improve is the links for the online user guides.
They would be better placed on the control panel.
Whenever I am asked for recomendations for hosting servies, Host Department
is my only choice. |

I am amazed with your entire website control panel, what you offer, easy
of use, set-up, etc. I prefer coldfusion so that is fantastic for me and
to allow, not just MS Access but MS SQL... I really like that. I am looking

I have had almost no problems with HostDepartment. But when I have had
problems, their Live Help has been fantastic. The help is accurate and
quick. When I had trouble with accessing webmail, the trouble ticket I
generated went unresponded-to for a couple of days. I instead got on Live
Help and once an operator came online, the fix was simple. He even offered
to set up a custom redirect page for my website to get directly to the
HostDepartment webmail login page, under my own domain so it would be
simple to access. He programmed it for me in a few minutes and the problem
was completely solved.
Combined with their low prices and excellent flexibility and provided
services, HostDepartment cannot be beat. |

I work in IT, but this is my first experience with any web content.
I use the online support almost daily. Tonight, I had a person by the
name of Yudi help me, and within a few minutes my problems were solved.
Yudi went above and beyond to help me out! I've concidered other hosting
service, but with excellent support, great prices and fast, reliable hosting,
Host Department will continue to be number one for me.

According to my experiences since year 1999 on paid webhosting, there
is NO trouble free hosting company around the world.
so the most important is how often the problom occured, how fast they
handle the problems, and communication to their clients... friendly..
politely.. and of course the skills to solve the problems.
And hostdepartment is ONLY one I found that match my criterias..
their customer support team really excellent and morethan willing to help.

I just compare with the 5 previous hosting company.. and no one can beat
hostdept for price, facility, speed, and of course.. customer support.
so.. again.. since since I never found the TROUBLE FREE hosting..
hostdept is the best hosting company that hard to beat by others.
